If anyone has any info on The Ah Chin family that would be great, but otherwise how would I get started? should i goto Hawaii and check out all the documents?
are they at the Library? I believe we are originally from China should I concentrate on that?

Sorry I donʻt know the last name Ah Chin but if the family married into Native Hawaiian families the last name may have been Hawaiianized and changed to Akina
here in Hawaii. There are a lot of Akinaʻs around. You can check out Ancestry.com and look up both names that would probably be best. The archives here are not
that good. Also check out ulukau.org.

Hey nakiab, Thanks a bunch for your advice =o) I will check out both the names. I'm not sure but I think I heard that we came from china Chin and "Hawaiianized" it to Ah Chin, is that possible?
