My great grandfather was George Kia Nahaolelua. He was born in Pakala, Maui August 19, 1877 and died July 21, 1929. He married Madeline Davies, born in Brooklyn, NY in abt. 1886. They were both musicians, and traveled the country performing in Hawaiian music concerts, plays and revues. They may have been in the vaudeville circuit.
They eventually settled in Los Angeles around 1912, and had two children. My grandfather, George William Kia Nahaolelua was born December 1914, and his sister Henrietta (Pat) Nahaolelua was born in 1916.
I've lost track of them after that. George Sr. died in 1929, but I'm not sure where. I have no information on Madeline after 1916, except that family stories locate her in New Jersey, where her son eventually settled. He traveled east and settled somewhere in the Newark, NJ area.
I am trying to find out any information on what happened to Madeline and George, Sr. I have most of the rest of the family tree filled in from the 1800s on. Perhaps someone has these names in their family trees, and can help me piece together this mystery.
