[font face=comic sans ms color=black size=3]HI1 my name is Michael Newtson, and I am a 5th generation Cummings through my mother Geraldine Cummings, my Grandfather Joseph H.Cummings II, and my Gr.Grandfather and Gr. Grandmother Jonah B. Cummings and Sarah Kuhaulua Cummings. I am currently and have been for the last seven months,Doing research for a historical fiction novel on the Patriarch of the Cummings family, Thomas Booth Cummings.As the first draft of the first eight chapters are complete, and consist of a fictional account of his life from arrival on 7/24/1844 thru 1846 in Lahaina. As there seems to be little information on this man, I've had to comprise a story on what little information I have obtained. Although it is a fictional account , I would like to keep close to the events of Hawaiian history between !844 and 1900 as much as possibleAs the research evolves into the next generation, I am hoping that there might be info,stories,bio's,from other parts of this enourmous family that might be passed my way. If all possible I would like to obtainany information on yourgr.grand parent,the sons and daughter of Thomas Booth Cummings, also any info from the descendents of Caroline Cummings Dutro,would be appreciated. As I said before, although this is a fictional account, I would like to keep personalities, demeaners, or a general knowledge of our history as close as possible. This Cummings family has a very interesting story about it, with many questions and mysteries to answer. Hope fully with info from other branches of the family I can keep it as close as possible. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
